ADVANCED INTELLIGENT NETWORKS CORPORATION ANNOUNCES
NEW INTERNET AND BUSINESS SERVICE RATES

DENVER, COLORADO - (October 22, 1997) -- Advanced Intelligent Networks Corporation (AINC) today released their new rate schedule ("Sun-Moon-Stars") for the multi-functional communication and information service - SohoNet. The Sun-Moon-Stars promotion supports modem and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface (BRI) access to the Internet and positions AINC to offer extended residential and business services in the Denver area. Ala-Carte service allows connections as low as 3 cents per minute with no minimum monthly (but, debit bank required) or an ISDN-BRI rate of $20 per month for approximately 170 hours (off peak). Typical rates for Internet access are $250/month for dedicated connections and few providers even advertise Dial-up ISDN-BRI. With this or any other ISDN Internet access, the ISDN BRI is still provided by the local phone company (US West, TCG, ICG).

David Roland, President of Advanced Intelligent Networks Corporation of Highlands Ranch said, "The new rate structure enables us to compete with other Internet Service Providers with traditional technologies and still maintain our ISDN virtual access plans. It has taken over six years of intensive ISDN research and software development to reach this threshold, and this is the light at the end of the tunnel." Roland is alluding to his work of the last years, resulting in the announced availability of the SohoNet( software nearly one year ago, and the integration of voice and data Virtual ISDN services that is currently underway. The Integrated Services Digital Network is actually the descriptive name of the public telephone network that is used every day.

Roland swears by the ISDN's powerful capabilities; "It doesn't matter if you look at Microsoft's investment in cable technologies, 56K modems, or the offerings of PCS; Of all of the transport technologies (Cable, Analog, ISDN-BRI, satellite, and wireless), only ISDN-BRI is a ubiquitous affordable service which can bring reasonably priced voice and high speed data services to the average desktop or home PC in a Small Office or Home Office (SOHO)."

Advanced Intelligent Networks, is a perfect example of a SOHO virtual company and is actively researching the needs and developing the solutions to support the telecommuter. Roland owns both the SohoNet.net provider company and his own consulting company which developed the software behind SohoNet(. "For nearly 4 months this year, a business in Ft. Collins utilized shared disks and services with SohoNet in Denver with only the Internet in between."

Roland has been championing ISDN services for the last 6 years and supported the development of standards through his efforts at NIST's North American ISDN Users' Forum. "ISDN protocols are embedded in both the wired and wireless communication (GSM) technologies and provides a rich set of call control services typically unavailable in nearly any other medium". Roland refers to the CLASS type business services (conferencing, forwarding, caller-ID, transfer, and others) that are standard with the BRI line.

The SohoNet( software utilizes the information and control features of "The ISDN" to provide powerful leverage to applications which integrate voice, fax, data, and video communications with the Internet. For an example, Advanced Intelligent Networks has created an ISDN telephone interface to Internet demonstration which allows any user with web access to view the actual information of test phone calls which is normally passed through the ISDN on every call (http://sohonet.net/product/demo).

"Personal information IS easily accessible with computers and the Internet which is all the more reason that the extended capabilities provided through the SohoNet service (filtering, blind access, and call blocking) are so important." Roland, is developing the tools to regain personal privacy and still take advantage of the latest in open communications services.

The SOHO business or telecommuter is faced with a new set of problems when they move out of the large corporate infrastructure. "The new home worker is suddenly faced with the loss of critical professional services and the typical ISDN solution is too complex to make it feasable." Roland's, goal is to provide the right combination of hardware and software support tools to enable a whole new SOHO economy.

Advanced Intelligent Networks will be testing an ISDN residential information appliance which utilizes these extended features, over the next months with its charter subscribers. Roland is currently looking for potential candidates.
